Fuck awesome weekend!!
Friday night didn't really get up to much, but who cares ehhehe....
Got a message from Seven on sat night saying come to this hotel, where all the BDO bands were staying. So eh why not I says. So rocks up and in the bar are pretty much members from all the different bands on the BDO bill, it was so overwhelming being in the same room as them. So yeah that was an interesting fun night.
Sun was the Big Day Out
.... Didn't end up paying too much attention to alot of the bands, other than the ones I went to see of course. Met and hung out with a lot of great people that day, which is one reason it was soo great! 1st band I really watched was Slipknot, and the main reason I went(as well as HATEBREED!). They were fucking great to see again, although I think the volume should have been a little louder.
SOAD were pretty good, although their set these days is a little more mellower.
HATEBREED was one of the best goddamn things ever.
Totally enjoyed every second of their set. Pit was crazy too.
After the day ended, went to hotel again for after BDO party. Had a little trouble getting in, but Seven helped me get in(thanx ). There were alot of people hangin outside trying to get in, poor peoples. A few friends too. Soon as I get inside, one of those friends is getting escorted out by a security guard, after jumping the balcony to get in....lol. Next thing I see is two of the guys in my band already inside, they said they just walked in like they were part of the bill and they just opened the doors ofr them lol.
The after party was fun. People kept thinking that we were in a big international band or something, probably Slipknot. We played along wth it a couple times...hehe, Mick #7 even did as well with us too. Oh yeah met Mick from Slipknot, one big ass dude, with one of the strongest handshakes ever, omg I thought he was gunna crush my hand. I was wearing a Bleeding Through shirt and he told me how he's friends with Marta. And showed me his crazy ass phone with contacts from here to there on it(I'd like 5 mins alone with that thing ) We even slipped Mick and Paul from slipknot a couple copies of our demo cd :
