Thursday night I to put my 8 year old Rottweiler, Sprocket down. When he walked in from doing his business outside he looked at me and was wobbling, looked like he lost his balance. He laid down next to me and began breathing hard. I knew it wasn't good and he needed a vet now. They did blood work, took some x-rays and did an ultra sound. He had internal bleeding, possibly spleen or liver. With almost no hesitation I consented to exploratory surgery. I get a call a little later but It wasn't good. 4 masses on his spleen and a large mass on his liver, about the size of a baseball. The mass on his liver had ruptured causing the internal bleeding. They allowed me to come see him while was still under to say goodbye.
Sprocket was mine for those entire 8 years. Those were the years I was on my own. No longer living with family or roommates, just the two of us. Lots of ups and downs during that time but he was there with me through it all. He will be missed.

you can't imagine how sorry i am to hear this! it's so sad when they gone my cat died almost two years ago and i still cry when i see videos or pictures of him so i really understand how you feel now. If you want to talk about that you can message me any time! Just try to handle with this the best way you can ok?
