Since the levees have broken in New Orleans I have not heard from my family. The news shows more and more chaos and violence breaking out. My cousin is a police officer and is probably in the middle of all the trouble.
Update: Still no word from my family although I got a message from another cop friend of mine, Blake. He has fought in Iraq recently and said that he felt safer there than on the streets in New Orleans.
The projects are on fire, shots are being fired, and there is no communication.

It sucks not knowing about family. I just got word last night, that my grandma is okay. It's hard not knowing. My grandma was three other old ladies and they are doing fine. I'm sure if they made it, your family is doing good. It can be a while before you hear from them, but I'm sure they're alright.

Yeah i guess most of us from New Orleans knew this could happen, they are acting like animals there. I hope your cousin is ok, i know they need him there right now....
