I never thought to look,
never paid attention.
never listened.
always assuming I knew better.
that I was right.
that I was in control.
how far we have come.
there is shelter somewhere.
this is turning into a self absorbed prattle of cliches.
we have a spaceship exploring saturn.
aren't we clever?
we have people dying in the sand for monetary reasons.
aren't we barbaric?
