Well the New Year is off to a good start. I got me a pay rise, very surprising given the current economic climate I know, but I've been working my butt off so not to sound too big headed but I deserve it! And what better way to treat myself than to renew my subscription to SG.
I have to admit last year was a bit meh. Yea sure a lot of things have changed in my life and progressing but there was still a fair amount of negative stuff going on and heart-ache. It wasnt a year of doom and gloom by any means though. My highlights were:
* Seeing Sylvie Guillem at the ballet
* A lovely relaxing holiday in Italy with my dad
* An awesome weekend in Roma with a friend where I got to be a total geek
* Seeing Wicked with some uni mates I hadnt seen in a year
* Finally seeing My Vitriol (other than at a festival)
* Watching a Tigers vs Harlequins match (which thankfully drew or my Quins supporting dad was going to make me walk home!)
So yea, 2 weeks in and Im feeling good about 2009 despite attending the sad event of the astorias last show. New flatmate moved in just before Christmas and although I was a bit unsure about living with two guys theyre both really cool. Im pretty glad Ive got a pay rise as despite my intentions of being good with money Ive been overspending already.
But hey, so far it's totally been worth it!!
