Rodents in general are pretty succeptable to respiratory illnesses, more so when they are captive/ caged. From what you described, it sounds similar to a lot of animals I have seen and kept that died due to to what you could call kennel cough for rodents, or possibly pneumonia and pulmanary edema. It sucks, but it is unfortunately common frown

Thank you for that, that was one of the most profound things anyone has said to me about all this. So I appreciate it. smile

And congrats on your job. I too know how that can be. Sometimes you just have insinuate yourself in there and make more and more room for yourself over time.

Good luck with the internship! If you do well you may end up working there (worked for me).
Thanks for the friends request btw!

has anyone seen alexandre aja's new flick, "mirrors"?

i saw it a couple days ago, expecting it to be another popcorn horror movie with no plot and loaded with mindless jump-scares. well...i was right. it's another super-polished horror movie, but i have to admit it was better than i expected.

there was no real sense of dread and i wasn't genuinely scared at any point,...

I liked Mirrors quite a bit. I thought it was above average for what is coming out... It's no High Tension, but still entertaining. I recommend seeing "Inside", if you haven't. It seems only Europeans are making any horror worth watching lately...

...has anyone seen these insane "think.mtv" holocaust commercials?

first off, i should start by telling you i'm jewish, so don't attack me for being anti-semetic, i'm obviously not. anyway, i'm a bit shocked just by the existence of these ads. i'm not sure what their creators were trying to say here. are there really people out there that don't know about the holocaust? or who...

I agree with what Volkov says. That seems to be the most logical reasoning behind the ads.

I don't understand why they couldn't have put some little tag at the end that says something along the lines of "get involved" or "vote" or even "write your congressmen" just to make the message a little more apparent.

im glad i dont watch MTV, and now im remeber why. they may have been put out by the bush administration in prep for the next republican campaign.

R.I.P. George Carlin

I can't begin to explain the sadness that comes from learning of Gerorge's death at the age of 71. He was a brilliant comedian, always questioning the world around him, always curious. he was a master of language and always found the perfect combination of words to make us laugh. not only was he smart and observant, but he was brave as...

he was almost like the patron saint of my close group of malcontents through high school and college. I've probably quoted him more than any book or song. the guy's work was nothing short of fucking fantastic.

seeing/hearing his work was like graduating from the world of slapstick to real social commentary. he could make things so funny by pulling the truth and the ridiculousness out of them.
