You know how people ask you what 1 cd would you bring with you if you were stranded on a deserted island? Well, I'm out in the country and I don't have a single cd. I haven't heard music in a day and a half. Today I was grateful to hear PART of a song..and that song was in Long's Drug store...MUZAK version of Jimmy Hendrix, Wind Cries Mary. And I was grateful. ugh.
Music soothes the soul. I love music. I need it. My parents don't listen to music. Not in the house. Not in the car, (gotta be able to hear the traffic to avoid accidents). Shit I wouldn't hear a police siren chasing me down the way I crank my car stereo. No music with my morning shower. None at night. I'm missing indie 103.1 I'm going to see if this modem computer can let me listen live or not. I'm thinking not. So the lesson learned here is, have a walkman or always carry at least 1 cd with you at all times. For emergency stranded times.
I'm dealing with a family crisis and I didn't know how bad it really is. So instead of staying the weekend, I'm staying the week until my sister can come back here from finals. I don't totally want to get into it, but it is really bad. I might update my journal this week to vent when I get the chance. So apologies now for not responding to all you fabulous SG peeps for awhile. This is going to be such a long week and it is only Day 2/Night3. I don't know that I'll even be able to log on again here since eyes keep peering over my shoulder onto SG.
