His name is Scooter! He’s a 2ish year old terrier poodle (?) mix. I adopted him from a small dog rescue here in Arizona. After losing my sweet boy, Elvis, earlier this year I have been so sad and my house has been so empty! I’ve been missing him terribly and wasn’t fully ready but I had thought about getting another friend for a couple weeks. Occasionally I would peruse shelter websites taking a peek at who was available, seeing if anyone caught my attention.
Figured since the idea was in my head, that would be the final way to make the decision. I had come across Scooter a few times but had travel plans coming up to celebrate my birthday in Jamaica. On our way back home I had stayed in New York for a couple days and EVERY one had a little dog! They were so cute and every time I saw one I got so happy. So when I got back home from traveling, I said fuck it and decided to see if Scooter was still available.. which he was! He’s very timid and shy but he is warming up quite a bit and now is my little shadow. They believe he was a stray so we have got some work to do but he is fairly smart and is adjusting somewhat well. Lots to do but it’s been fun, interesting and he is so tiny and cute and pretty snuggly. :)

The perfect couple! 🐕❤️ Yes, we form such deep emotional attachments with our pets we are totally bereft when they die. Therefore, I suggest always having three of varying ages so that when one dies (ie - usually the oldest) the remaining two will help comfort you through your grief.
