Bit of a breezy day! But it’s still nice to spend time by the water. Normally I would have been a big baby and decided not to go, but I’m glad I pushed myself to get up and make the drive. Plus, I promised Elvis we would spend some time outdoors over the weekend and head out to the lake. So I packed some pb & j’s, some doobies & blankets and we hit the road!
I love having my own little adventure buddy. He has so much fun outdoors and really has a great time bouncing around the rocks when we go hiking. He isn’t a huge fan of being in the water, so he’d take some pauses between exploring on land to come hang out on the blanket.. which is fine by me! Hehe
We of course also packed one of his balls so he could get some extra exercise for his little old man legs. He fuckin loves a good game of fetch! (Unless he gets distracted by an exciting smell, of course.) You can see how happy he was about having the option to play hehe.
Although not a huge fan of getting in the water, he did take a few sips and get his feet wet a bit. He really seemed to enjoy walking along the water and he’s a fan of feeling the wind through his fur. Luckily he behaves well enough to where I can let him wander off on his own as long as he stays within my view.
Overall it was a really chill day! Got some stuff done around the house and spent some time by the water with my little doggy. I think we both had a great time :) it’s such a short distance from my house I really should come hang more. I’m not even a fan of getting in the water to be honest hehe. But I think it’s nice for the both of us to just relax outdoors with the sound of the movement of the water, ya know? So lovely ✨
We headed home and little buddy of course got a bath. He wouldn’t leave my side for the rest of the night. Maybe it’s because we had such a great time together and he was appreciative. I’m not sure! Either way it was a nice Sunday and good end to the weekend 😌
