As mentioned in a previous blog, I was on the road last week working a few different places for my day job as an inventory control manager at a cannabis cultivation. The dispensary I was helping onboard to the new software system happened to be in a town close to the Arizona border just a short hour & a half drive to the lovely Las Vegas!
Some colleagues from the other company were taking a trip for the evening before flying out the following morning since we were finishing off on a Saturday morning. I decided to tag along!
So last Saturday I took a fun impromptu Vegas trip with two people I hardly knew and I had a damn blast! I took this photo in the elevator before I decided to swap my knit sweater out for a T-Shirt I stopped to by at the Harley Shop close by. It was a bit toasty out and I was ready to have fun! Who wants to sweat, right? 😅
One of the guys I was with decided to teach me and the other how to play poker! We sat down at a tournament just for fun, which we all lost, but had a good time jumping into the game and getting an idea of how things flow. After quite a few drinks later we instead decided to sit down at another poker table.. not in a tournament. hehe.
I sat down at the table with the guy who taught me to play amongst a bunch of older men in the mix. One much older gentlemen sat down next to me and says “Looks like we got a shark here” which I thought was funny cus I don’t even know how to play... and wouldn’t you damn believe it just 4 hours after learning how to even play.. I won $500! One guy had to pull more cash out of his pocket to match my bet he thought I was bluffing on and I still won the hand! I even took the guys money who taught me! Hahaha
Poker isn’t too bad. 😅😏
So glad I learned to play and man I had a blast that night. I did NOT gamble more and definitely decided to hold on to my happy 500 😛
