My lovely girl @shameless tagged me in this cute blog questionnaire! 💚
•What was your first animal?
I think growing up it was likely a dog! We had a ton of dogs throughout the years in my family. I know when I was younger we had two and my mom had named one Lieutenant and the other Columbo 😅 At one point our whole house was filled with a variety of different animals! hehe. The one I remember the most though is actually a cat, Streaky, who was around for a looong time but she was a bit of a meany 😬 She loved my mom the most but would hide under the bed or tables and scratch us kids if we lingered or walked past sometimes 😂
• Which animals did you have in your life?
I have had so many! We had an apartment with hamsters, lizards, birds, mice, salamanders, hermit crabs and a cat. (All at once!) Then of course we had family dogs. When I grew up I had gotten myself a few snakes :)
• What kind of animals do you have now?
I currently have a dog, Elvis and a snake, Ollivander who is a Ball Python :)
Elvis is my little handsome boy!! He’s an Australian Terrier about 8 years old and he’s the best decision I ever made. 💚 I had moved out to Arizona from Chicago 3 years ago with my boyfriend at the time who I sent back to his mama after only 2 months. I decided to replace him with a man who will never do ya wrong - a little dog!! I adopted him from the Humane Society & I couldn’t have asked for a better deal. He’s so sweet, behaves so well, loves to play - we still have some work to do as I’m not sure his past and he has some distance. But he warms up and gets closer to me as time goes by and it’s great seeing his personality come out more and more. He is certified as my ESA (Emotional Support Animal) and he really does it phenomenally 🥺 idk what I would do without my sweet boy! Have never loved something so much as I do this fluffy loaf of cuteness 😭
Ollivander is a Ball Python who I have had for about 5 years! He’s a chunky boy who’s a bit timid but he’s come a long way :) I had bought him from a girl who was advertising him online stating she couldn’t take care of him. She had two rooms full of animals and he wasn’t getting the care he needed. When I first got him his tank was filled with months of old feces and the tank he was in was much too small. He was very finicky and would flinch when anything would come near him - now he makes me a bit timid sometimes! Lol. Almost time for another size upgrade but he’s happy for now and is very active :)

• Your spirit animal?
I wish I knew what it really was!! I had taken a little quiz before and it said a wolf - but idk how true that is and I don’t really feel any type of connection to that so I doubt it!
• If you could choose to be an animal for one day what would it be?
I want to say maybe an octopus. I can’t swim very much and don’t like getting in the water often, but I always have this deep fascination with it and the urge to get in and swim - I just don’t know how and open water scares me lol. Imagine the things you could see and the depths you could go if you were an octopus for a day 🐙
• Do you have animal tattoos?
I do! I have a lizard on my forearm/wrist that I got with my mom as matching tattoos the first time we ever came to Arizona together. I also just recently finished my octopus tattoo that is on my hip/thigh.
• What is your favorite animal print?
Snakeskin! I love the look and adore snakes. 💚
• If you would have all the time, space and money in the world what animal is it you would love to have?
Oh gosh! A little octopus for sure hehe. You can have them in salt water tanks I believe :) Also, possibly a llama. I know people say they’re mean & stinky but I’ve always really loved them 😅 Id love to have a llama runnin around my backyard hahaha
• Do you have a last message?
Reptiles make awesome pets and they’re very cool - but they’re still a pet and you have to make sure you are prepared and do proper research before just bringing one home. All three snakes I've ever had were taken from owners who didn’t care for them properly or have the proper means to keep them. It’s really sad and no animal deserves to be lugged from one owner to another ): I know they seem scary or creepy to some but they’re still living beings and idc what anyone says they have feelings 😭
