Loving all the detail shots from my new set Double Dose!
I really enjoyed shooting this set with my lovely friend @alissa and really hope we see it on the front page! I’ve received a few comments regarding my personality really shining through these photos and I appreciate that so much!! Feeling the same 💚
Cannabis has been a huge part of my life and has impacted me greatly in such positive aspects! So grateful I have found something natural that aids physically and mentally. I have never been much of a drinker and truthfully have never experimented with anything else other than weed...have never been interested!
Years ago I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, later I developed some muscular issues with my back which took a worse turn after a car accident that left me with some internal injuries.. forever fuckin up my neck and back! I have no interest in medication or pain killers, they don’t help in the way they should anyway. Cannabis became my savior!
I was already a frequent pot smoker at the young age of 12/13 growing up in the Southside Chicago, so when it came down to needing assistance with physical and mental ailments years later... cannabis was already there and ready to step up to the plate. Wasn’t something new I had to incorporate into my life, she was around and doing what she needed before I even knew I needed it.
Cannabis is relaxing, exciting, healing.. and so much more. Sure I won’t deny a large reasoning behind my indulgence is to enjoy the high, get stoned, chill. However even simply that helps with what I need. Makes my body and mind feel at peace for awhile, lifts weight off my shoulders and distracts your mind from the negativity and pain for a moment.
Sometimes I’m hurting, sometimes my mind is overwhelmed, sometimes I just want to sit back and feel free. Cannabis is sexy, strong, empowering. It doesn’t exclude anyone it isn’t for man or woman, the ‘deadbeats’ or the ‘hippies’... it is for the world. The stigma associated with cannabis and it’s users is being crushed over time but stereotypes still exist. I earned great grades in school, worked many jobs (a few simultaneously), have lived on my own since I was 17, just bought a house at 23, own a 2018 car, work a great job managing a position that is essential to the company... we can be successful pot smokers.
As a matter of fact I don’t think I would be successful without weed. Not only would I have been held back by medications/body/mind but it is now my career, helped make friends, it’s a part of my modeling and my photo is now in local dispensaries.
It’s not for everyone, but it’s for me. Sometimes you just need to take a deep breath and let your body flow. Sometimes ones not enough, so how about a double dose? 💚✨💨
