a year older but non the wiser. the years pass and i wait for the wise to appear. but the same mistakes i make and the same cracked lips i break. time and time again. it repeats on me. my breath drying out and my mouth turning stale.

with knowledge there is power. but what use is knowledge that is easily forgotten?
it is this that keeps the wise hidden and locked inside their inner sanctum. how can i ever grow wise with my age if i cannot remember the mistakes until they are repeated. again.
