I'm in Holland! 6 shoots down 9 more to go (all tomorrow). I won't get to see any of this beautiful country except for what I saw out of the plane window. Which was very surreal... like an ancient sim city landscape with no hills. This is the nature of my job... fly into a city and fly right out after being jam packed full of work. The lovely girls I've met so far though have already been talking about "when" I come back. That makes me smile. Maybe I'll get to see more of the country next time.
When I get home I will be chained to my desk where I'll spend the next couple of weeks photoshopping and replying to the mountains of emails I have backed up.
In a month's time I'm coupling a trip to the south of England with the chance to get tattooed. I can't wait.

I hope you've all taken a look at Gwen's set and left a lovely comment for her. I styled her hair for that shoot!
I also hope you liked Disco's new set... Phinn and I helped her with her hair. I mostly made it stand up like magic.

I always knew that Nick Cave should write a "western".
I went to see The Proposition last week. As soon as I read that he wrote it I almost peed my pants and it was more than mind blowing. You see, I've always thought that a good number of the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds albums played out like a western.
Now, while The Proposition isn't technically a traditional western as it's set in Australia, it might as well be. I don't want to go into too much detail because if you watch it (and I implore you to) then I don't want to spoil it. Let me just put it this way: the writing, the acting, the direction and the soundtrack is out of this world. It's everything you could want in a dirty, flithy, hellish desert film. It's downright offensive and beautiful all in the same breath. Just like Nick Cave himself. Perfection.

I've had an enormously stressful couple of weeks and I almost just gave up on everything last week. All I could think is how simple life would be if I had a job as some stupid brain dead android in a store or coffee shop. Starbucks have an open recruitment day this week and I've been sorely tempted.
Still, I honestly think I just need to stick with something. Yes my job is the one of the most difficult and often stressful jobs I've ever had, but when I think of what I get out of it then it's worth it. I just have to continue to work hard and maybe I'll get a day off soon.
Don't get me wrong; I'm not complaining. I've just been thinking a lot.
