I don't update very often now, do I? And I no-longer have the excuse of not having internet access. I feel like I'm at a loss for words lately. I used to write fairly interesting and well written journals. For over a year they've been kind of empty and they rarely say anything of great importance or interest. This is me apologising, right? Right.
Christmas was beautiful, wonderful and more than I could have hoped for. New Years was nothing. That's okay by me. I actually detest New Years Eve. I wouldn't mind if the evening was full of decadence, high spirits and the bubbly stuff like it's often promised. In my experience it's generally full of drunken idiots making fools of themselves and starting fights.
I've had a lot of work lately, I'm grateful for that. For the first time in over four years I have a bank balance above zero. The beginning of 2006 looks to be full of paying work too. That makes me smile. I just wish I could offload my mountains of debt, open up my own studio and have time to make my art. Talking of which, my website is really behind. I'm sorry to those of you that are waiting so patiently.
My three year anniversary of my first set going live was last week. It's amazing how time flies. It's also amazing to me how my life has changed in just three years. Without the opportunities that SG has given me I wouldn't be where I am and doing what I love. Which also reminds me... there are a lot of fun sets from the UK girls coming your way. Everyone loves the boobs.
That's enough rambling from me, I think. I have lots of planning, organising and general "sorting" of things to do in the next couple of months. Also, lots more travel on the horizon. I've been on more planes and trains than I ever thought I would be in my lifetime, over the last year.
I should perhaps be used to these views by now:
I'm not, though. They're still as breathtaking as the first time I saw the world from above.
I miss Vancouver:
I never thought I would fall in love with a place, a city, a thing made of glass and concrete before. City of Glass, you stole my heart.
:cherry:
P.S (excuse me for the blatant pimping a moment) If you've been photographed, photoshopped or otherwise touched [ooh-errr] by me please be so kind as to review my directory listing. Thank you!
