Hey!
I'm in Vancouver! I've had a whole bunch of fun so far. I even went skiing for a couple of days up in Whistler. The snow wasn't so good and the second day rained like nobody's business. But, all in all I had lots of fun. Considering I hadn't been skiing for almost nine years I managed to keep up with the Canuckian snow-born family that I've been spending all my lovely time here with. I'm completely loved up and spoilt right now.
It's almost Christmas and I get to cook festive dinner for the aforementioned family.
I also spent a whole whack of money on a new lens while I was here. It's currently a love-hate relationship with it... For all those photography buffs who read my little journal here it's an aspherical 14mm f/2.8 ...
I'm in love with it for the obvious reasons - it takes amazing non-distorted portraits and close ups. And the landscapes I've been trying have been gorgeous (I'm normally absolutely rubbish at anything non-person). However, on several occasions when I've been out for a stroll with no other lens I've been cursing some of the photo opportunities I've been missing because I can't get right up close. So, there we have it. Love-Hate.
I also got to meet the beautiful and charming Malloreigh. She's wonderful. Although we were both pretty shy so nervous giggles all round.
I missed the SGVancouver Christmas Party because I got a migraine...
I missed out meeting up with Mr.tmronin due to familial surprises and then having no internet access in Whistler. I also missed out on meeting the wonderful Oryx.
So, I must be off now to eat yummy sushi dinner. The sushi here is to die for. I also have a bunch of work I really have to get done so I'm going to be extremely busy until Christmas. I'm sorry I haven't replied to all the wonderful comments. I will do my best to do so over the next few days.
And two beautiful ladies' sets went up while I was away skiing:
I love this lady, she's amazing. Go tell her how beautiful and talented she is if you haven't already.
Shooting this set of the lovely Venla was a blast. It really reminds me of the whole Italian trip. It was so much fun. Ahhh, nostalgia. Go say hello!
