Cherri: No, not at all
Pods: Cos I do, y'know, I really like you...
Cherri: Yeah, I know. I've known all along

I wanted to tell him that he's one of my best friends and one of the most awesome people I know but I didn't want to sound patronising so I just shut the fuck up. I really don't want to lead him, but I want to stay close because he's such a good friend. Is that selfish? Would it be better for him if I just left him alone? If you were in his place, what would you want me to do?
