I'm loving how this blog entry screen starts out with a very poignant message...
YOU are Chemowasabi.
why yes, tha tis in fact right, thank you. But that's also in fact right, this is who I am this is what I've become. chemowasabi...Chemowasabi Studios....All started as a J3 Production back up north. Me, my abilities in the field...everything, ever evolving, ever changing.
I do like what I am becoming (again) to relearn the photography feild that changed SO drastically in the years I stepped away from it to pursue some other interests. My roots are still there. My Pentax P3 fully manual 35mm still sits at the egde of my bed with a 50mm lens almost permanently attached to it for anytime I need to do some portrait work..A d90, d200, or d300 always within reach (for now a phonecal away till I score a new rig)
My darkroom is gone...That's kind of sad. All my spoges, and spray techniques that I would use w/ developer fluid to create different effects on the film itself...not used anymore.
Now I have my laptop. 21 inch LCD 1080p behemoth w/ a laser mouse for precision running Photoshop CS4...my "new"(?) darkroom. Rolls of film sitting next to stacks of SD and CF cards...Just another day.
nd the shoots are starting to come back, now that I've given in, and said that I want to be what I truely was, finding a way to make money off of doing on eof the very few things that make me really happy, and that I seem to be halfway damn decent with (while remaining my largest critic)
Holiday times this year seem to point to more people wanting to put together "special" phtoo packages for thier loved ones. I'll happy oblige. It's a job, and I'm getting back into doing what I do. Heck here soon you all will apparently be able to witness one of the shoots I have coming up. A potential new SG star on the rise. Never saw that day possibly coming. Doing sets for SG girls. but here I am...still evolving.
I Am chemowasabi. I am Nuclear Horseradish...burns a bit, sometimes a little overwhelming. If worked with right, a very nice compliment to a dish.
I'm looking forward to these next few steps in the evolution. Working with a partner. Haven't done that....before..at all....in this field. Working with talents of all types. be in adult work, fashion, etc. This time, I'm coming back, not to play, not to win, but to be able to nod and go "yeah, that was me." and it be noticeable. I'm really looking forward to the chances of getting to know you all, working with some of you all, and given the lentgh of this blog, help cure a few people's insomnia while I'm around.
