So it may be technically cheating, but I have a 3 way tie for the most important person, I guess in this case people, in my life. They would be my husband and my twin boys!
I met my husband in 2021 through a friend that quickly became family. We got together in a time where we both thought a meaningful, real relationship was out of the cards for both of us. I knew the moment we started talking that we would be together. I even remember telling him he’d be mine 😅 my husband told me the first night we talked that he didn’t want to get married or have children. Well, that quickly changed haha. We got married on our 3 year anniversary, and exactly 3 months after that found out I was pregnant.
My husband was everything I had always wanted and more. He’s an emo kid like myself, a skater, and a musician. Something high school me would have FREAKED to have. He’s the strongest, kindest, most loving man I know. He does everything and anything for not only myself, but for our boys as well.
My boys are almost 3 months old now. When I first found out I was having twins, it was from a follow up ultrasound. I had went in around 6 weeks due to bleeding, and it was to make sure everything was okay. At 8 weeks we found out I was having twins! Monochorionic diamniotic twins to be exact. Which means they were identical and shared a placenta. They were slightly higher risk twins for that reason. Luckily, the pregnancy went without any complications to my boys. ( I on the other hand had a hard time moving around, especially starting in the second trimester. ) my boys were born full term for twins, just over 36 weeks. We had a week hospital stay, with one of our boys needing some NICU time.
Being a mom to twins has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Motherhood is hard enough as it is, but having two at once is a little insane 😅 but from the moment I heard their first cries, my heart changed forever. I knew in that instance I’d do anything and everything for them. I know you parents out there know the feeling! Here’s a picture of them right after my second son was born ( and they were born almost 7 hours apart!)
let me know in the comments if you’d guys would like a blog going into more detail about my pregnancy and boys!
