Well. Christmas is over, thank god.
I get depressed around christmas. My family doesn't have a lot of money and they get sad which in turn makes me sad. My mom feels like she is an inadequate parent when she can't buy me and my younger sister things for christmas. I told her, I don't care.My aunt is like rich and will get me something fancy anyways. (something i probably wont like.) But it isn't even about the presents. I'm old enough to not care about gifts anymore.
So Come christmas day i wasn't expecting ANY presents from my mom and dad... but low and behold they saved up some money and got my sister presents anyways. (DAMN THEM!)
But let me say something, Out of all of my presents i got on christmas I think my mom and dads present was my favorite and meant the most to me. My aunt got me clothes, which are nice, but generic. my grandma got me odd things because she's old (a whistle. A bath fizz ball. .... need i say more?)
By my mom said they only had 75 bucks to spend on my sister and I (which to me is a lot) and she got me a quill pen/ink/wax set. Some nice stationary to go with it and a really nice set of tarot cards.
Why this is impressive to me is because they are so thoughtful. My mother and I are wiccan, and I have always been interested in tarot and any sort of divination. My mother has a BEAUTIFUL tarot deck but in wiccan tradition it is bad luck to have someone else handle your deck after ti has been blessed.
well, I always wanted her to read my cards to me, but she never wanted to (obviously. a mother doesn't want to know if anything bad is in her daughters future)
So the tarot cards were verrrryyy nice and a very neat gift.
The quill pen, was part of a "love letter" writing kit for me to write letters to my fiance while we're apart. and she bought the stationary separately to go with it.
I was ecstatic. I used to try to make quill pens out of random pigeon feathers when i was little, so i couldn't wait to get to writing. Which I am a natural at. (i learned during an Oregon trail program in elementary school.)
So that pretty much made my whole Christmas. It was so nice.
As a separate Christmas present to myself I just bought the verizon LG VX10000. AKA the IPHONE KILLER. AKA The Voyager. WOOT! I love it. I'm still working out some kinks with it, because i haven't figured everything out. (anyone have one? can yah help me with a picture message problem i am having?)
new years i am supposed to hang out with my best friend Erica, but I have no idea what we're supposed to be doing. I hope it involves something alcoholic. =D lol. I would very much like to get drunk that night.....
I got a letter from my other best friend to day, who is in japan in the navy. I am extremely excited about that!!
and last but not least
One of my wildest nerd dreams came true yesterday
My favorite band ( KILLOLA LISTEN TO THEM.) got world of warcraft as a Christmas gift.
The decided to make a char on the same server and faction as me, and play with me. So yesterday I got to play with my favorite band! WOOT!
Ok, well thats all for the chelseasmelsea updates for now, i feel like going into the chatssss.
