I'm not against a holiday devoted to being thankful for what we have. What I don't like is that I'm a chef and this is THE food holiday.
1. people worry more than they should about cooking a bird
2. whoever is cooking gets really uncomfortable when I'm introduced as a chef, like I'm going to judge them
3. I go from guest to bailing the cook out before I've had my first glass of wine, I love cooking but I can only fix so much
4. while I'm helping out, my phone is blowing up with more people needing help
5. I get asked about what I think about the meal and have to respond
6. I have to watch the fucking cowgirls play but that becomes huge a plus if they lose and I get to witness the implosion
