ok so back from sea, which is like holy shit i can see the sun again. and i'm on my 4 day standdown period... which is just a long ass weekend and omg i'm enjoying the shit out of it just sleeping my ass off! oh hell yeah. i got to do some cool shit out to sea though. i got to stand up in the bridge (the big thing that sits on top of the submarine) while we were leaving port and i caught the sunset and at that point in the water there is literally NOTHING but water everwhere and just as the sun was setting and the stars are coming out dolphins, no shit several dolphins start jumping over the bow, definately one of the coolest things i've gotten to do in the navy thus far. another cool thing was that we had another swim call which is pretty much like " hey lets get out and swim" that shit was like water world, we surfaced the boat and got to jump off topside into the vast ocean and from what the captain said we were actually swimming right over mariannas trence(idk how to spell it) but its supposed to be the deepest part of the ocean several miles deep and out there where there is no land whatsoever , not even another boat or ship, just us the water is the deepest darkest blue, its almost like you can see for miles underwater cause really you can because theres nothing there for miles either way. and it was pretty awesome how the water was like 90 degrees so it was even better. the only thing that really sucked was that we had a shit load of inspections and i guess some air valves were leaking(i could go into more detail but nobody would have a clue what i was talking about) but yeah valves leaking air into the inside of the submarine where normally the human body takes in air at about 2.2psi but the pressure was rising up to like 3.5psi so everybody was getting dizzy and had it gone up to 5psi well we would have all passed out and died......definately not cool, and a little scary. but anyways i'm back, i'm happy , and fuck i'm tired so i'mma go hit the sack
