Long couple days. My girls are finally home. Of course that means my inlaws are here, but only for the night. I had a big off site wedding today at the place that I cook for a week every year. It was the first Quaker wedding I have catered. It was odd bringing people from my work to a Quaker thing but it went well. I spent seven straight hours on Friday making 600 plus kabobs for this wedding. It may have put me off meat on a stick for a while and I never thought that was possible. It was stormy a lot of the day but the weather cleared in time for dinner and stayed clear enough they could have their dance outside.

Tomorrow I have to work which sucks. I have to do another wedding and its on my anniversary. The wife understands, the Ziz is pissed. " Dad can't you tell them it's your anniversary?" I told her it was just like how we can't always celebrate our birthday on the right day because of work and that we will do something special on Tuesday instead. Still a bit incredulous but oh well. 12 years of wedded bliss. I think that it is starting to feel like a long time. Not in a bad way, just that it has been a while and I like it. We are good to each other even if we are not good for each other all they time. We put up with each others stupid crap so well it almost enabling but we also have the "who else would have us?" thing going for us. Truth be told she could probably find some one else but she wouldn't believe it, I am more of a a hard sell. The market for chicks that like fat, hairy, workaholic, stoners is a dark dark place and truth be told, left to my own devices I wouldn't leave my house to go there. Ha ha, so hooray for love. There are a lot of chefs that end up divorced alcoholics and I am lucky to have an understanding wife. I'm not much of a drinker and I hate sleeping alone.

I'm off to purve. Have fun SG.
