So the girls left this morning to go to Kansas in my car. They should actually be getting in about now. So I gave my wife my key to my car because she lost hers(and replacing it would cost 180 fucking dollars) and she kept her key to her car because I have one. Make that had one. I went to leave work and found that my key to her car was missing and I was in fact stuck at work with a car I can't start. Luckily my mom was home because everyone I know is either at Summer Camp festival or out of town for the holiday but her. So she and "new daddy" came to save me and she loaned me her Matrix for the weekend. Her dude offered to loan me his Mini Cooper but beyond the comical implications of putting me in a mini he is super into his cars and I wouldn't want anything to happen to it in my care. If I fuck up my mom's car she's my mom. It is a super charged six speed sporty mini so I was tempted but ultimately common sense prevailed. The Matrix is still comically small for me but it is fun to drive with the turbo and whatnot.
Another stupid thing is that I'm pretty sure I broke or at least seriously fucked up one of my toes. I tripped a bit walking home the other day in my nubby sandals and it hurt a little but no blood or visible damage then later that night I noticed that one little piggy was a very interesting shade of purple. I thought it might be jammed so in my infinite wisdom I gave it a little tug. When I came to, I wiped the piss off my leg and reminded myself that I am a fucking moron. It wasn't quite that bad but it hurt. It doesn't hurt unless I whack it and it wasn't sore at work so that is good. I wondered how a twelve hour day would treat it.
The new Kitchen Manager has started and is spending his first two weeks shadowing me. He is a big dude. He has about 80 pounds on me. It is funny how the kitchen has bulked up in the last year, there is a lot of meat on the hoof in the back of the house. Any way, he seems like a good guy and hopefully he knows his shit and can get things straightened up and running smoothly. He has never done any catering ar banquet stuff so he is having fun doing that and learning the prep stuff. His last job was GM of a Sonic. I know he was stoked to quit two days before 50cent corndog day.
Well I'm off to purve. I am home alone.

Yeah, that makes sense. In my depressions I have been like that too. Not a good thing, but it has definitely saved some relationships.
