Today the new schedule came out and I am scheduled to have 2 days off one of which is sunday, just like we agreed. Hell yes. Kind of a weird day at work today but a good day for me. I got a lot of stuff done and managed to not have to work the line at all.
The wife is dealing with things with her mom again. Everyday this week and last she has been bombarded with phone calls from her sister in law and dad and brothers and mom. Things are getting serious like she will probably be fired and maybe sued and she is still refusing treatment for her mental ailments. I feel bad for the wife because she is stuck in the middle even though she is 9 hours removed from them. No one should be surprised that her mom is acting like she is because she has always been like that. Some how they are still bewildered that she hasn't manned up and done the right thing and the wife just keeps saying "you know she has always been like that". Family, what can you do?
So I have driven to work and back 9 times now and I still have 2/3 of a tank of gas. When I was commuting I filled up once every 4 days. Hell yeah, my move is already paying off.

Happy to hear the new job is working out. Sorry to hear about the wife's trouble. Her moms sounds a lot like my ex-Mother in Law. Family troubles can be the worst, locked in with no escape.
