So I voted. Last time I voted was electric because I had to go early because of work so I was there when the polls opened and everyone cheered. This was voting as usual in down state Illinois. I might as well never flipped over my ballot because all of the local races were uncontested. I can't vote for an uncontested race that is not voting plus all of those seats were republican held and I will never be rich enough to vote republican. I am not a hater, by all rights I should be a republican as I am generally for small government and states rights but they seem to have strayed from that platform a while ago. Being raised by liberal quakers I should by all rights be a democrat as well. I am not opposed to social services and as long as I see a return(ie health care for everyone especially my kids) I am not opposed to being taxed more. But the dems have lost there balls somewhere and left the president hung out to dry. I don't think that anyone in there right mind expected Obama to fix in two years the cluster fuck it has taken the federal machine 200 years to perfect. He may be the best thing that has come along in a while but he is not magical.
