Off today. Yesterday I finally placed my order for my big quaker catering next week. I don't know why but I always dread doing it and put it off as long as possible. It doesn't make much sense because I order stuff from other places everyday but for some reason my brain resists putting in my IYM order. The old guy that runs the place is nice enough, I don't get it. There are lots of things that I avoid doing but this one makes the least sense to me.
I have musical friends in town this week so there will undoubtedly be some bluegrass going on at my house sometime today. My buddy Doug and his family are up and he is an awesome banjo and guitar player and we harmonize well. He was one of the guys in the big bluegrass band I was in. Big as in six piece not famous. I miss those guys but I can't blame them for leaving Illinois and going to Appalachian State. I can't wait to pick a little with some good pickers.
It finally stopped raining, maybe I will get to grill something today. I got to see quite a show on my way home Saturday. Tornadoes and crazy wind and lightning. My buddy Matt the storm chaser was jealous of my commute for a day, only he would have turned around and tried to get closer.
