Kinda functioning slowly for me. Anybody else?

edit- (Finally figures out Bookmarks function)
OKAY, so here's the deal- if I'm ever off the site for more than 24 hours, I cannot read you all's Journals in that time. I'm not saying I won't want to, I'ms aying I won't be ABLE to. It will be utterly IMPOSSIBLE to scroll back through 2 days or more...

I wish I knew the inner workings of the human mind. Then maybe I wouldn't be so frustrated with people, y'know?

I like the new site. I've been using it on Beta for a while now. It takes some getting used to, but it's not all that bad. My only complaint is the bookmarks thing, too. And I miss my bookmarked threads and albums.
alyssum:
Yeah, there's definitely some kinks yet to be worked out with the new design.
Actually "hope it comes out okay" works quite well.

I wasn't gonna do this. Really. I mean, I know my Journal's been the height of dull for a while now.... but I'm going to do it.

How can I get my sound back up? I mean, I know I have sound hardware in the PC, and I need to download "sound drivers," but I can't see what type of sound card thing I have...

not always. I went to a tanning salon and had an airbrush tan done, and it wasn't orange at all. I dont know about the stuff my mom got though. If it turns out orange on her, Im certainly not going to use it.

Thanks to dovienya and ex-SGers Philippe The Otter and Mikael I am back in compy bizness!

For NOW; not going to jinx myself here...

and speaking of jinxes...

a lot has been said the last few days about the 6/6/06 date. I hate to argue Bible stuff cuz someone's gonna ask me for corroboration or fact-checking and... dude, it's ME. I'm not a theologian... BUT...

Remember when I used to NOT have computer problems. :^/

Well... keep those happy memories in mind. Meanwhile, I'm off to apply for a job, and hopefully get some help later on with:

1. getting my sound drivers installed again,
2. this tricky, recurrent Trojan virus I have,
3. figuring why my new XP system is working at a crawl/ 100% capacity.

I see...

Computer problems are the worst. I hope yours are solved with minimal pain.

Yeah, i would agree with the food supply argument too, if that's what it was actually being used to fight. I forget if i put this in my little rant or got the info aftewards, but it's being funnelled to protect things like the Texas Mushroom Festival, installing 70 video cameras in some small alaskan fishing town of 2400, giving washington DC sanitation workers classes in Public speaking, little local microbrews, and $30,000 to prevent terrorists from raising money through Bingo in kansas. Fucking BINGO???

Ahchmed, we just need another $10,000 for our sleeper cell to be properly funded. . .where will we come up with that money??

I KNOW! Lets go to Kansas and play bingo. It's a sure thing!

I don't know wether to laugh or cry.

But thanks for sending a post card wink
Good luck with the computers. i'm all too familiar with how counter-productive computers can be. odd when you think aboot it surreal

- I saw The Proposition on Thurs, the Australian Western movie written by Nick Cave. It's a great movie; one of the better Westerns I've seen. In showing the very real and far-reaching effects of violence, I think it's waaay better than Unforgiven. I think there's another main theme, too, but I don't want to get into spoilers. Not a FUNN movie at all,...

Well with respect to the Kindereggs being sent through the mail in the heat; the toy surprise is really what makes it fun for me, so the actual chocolate is secondary to that. If it melts, whateva. wink

I'm glad you're doing what you want to be doing, at least, but I can understand the depression. Sometimes depression happens even when good things are going on. I don't really have any good advice, but I know exercise and being out in the sun can help a lot.

Damn, that really makes me wish I'd gone to Acme. I heard about that, but didn't inquire more. I wonder what their usual night's clientele is like...

What's this volunteer job you do?

Okay, I've had yet more compy problems, so kinda offline for another 24 hours Fri-Sat. I'm hoping this kinda thing won't happen again soon, BUT... my Windows version needs to be changed again soon, so I'll see.

I want to say something else of note. Huh. Blog some things that might mean jack to someone.

- I hope you all don't think I'm neglecting you....

Wait... I'm... I'm online. This can't be. Didn't the computer know that it was supposed to keep me offline forever?

It put in a noble effort, for sure. My C: drive crashing the day my modem arrived was a fantastic strategy on it's part... but I'm afraid Mikael helped me all day (when he had better things to do, I'm sure) and I had $60...

Ooof, I'd been meaning to write to ya more, and now yr computer is being all genital residue on you.

Good description, exactly. The tampons are working now.

I'm listening to the Frump mp3's on KRS right now...about to cue up WDWGH--hold on.

Ah, this one. Remember how there was one record (was it Eunich Nights?) recorded in a stairwell? Classic antics.

I don't know if I remember this track, actually. Good though. It was real nice to just hear "Be Good" again! love
