I wonder how often people email each other here? I don't get many emails from SGers. I email Franchise a bit...I emailed AvantTard but 1) he's off the site, 2) I was buying artwork from him. This is my mindless self-indulgent plea for people to email me?? I would like to trade CDs. Burnt CD compilations. With some people.
I'm trying to figure out who I'm gonna vote for in the city elections. This is my first Alexandria election, and all of the candidates are running on the same platform-- traffic is bad, sprawl is bad, taxes are bad, and education is good. There is no clear line between Republicans and Democrats; there is precious little city council members or mayors can do about declaring wars, limiting abortion rights, declaring gay rights, or any BIG issues. It is pretty much just TRAFFIC.
I went to this site http://www.alex4sensiblegrowth.org , where this public group who's against sprawl picked candidates, and I think I'l pretty much kowtow to their ideas, although I want to vote Pat Troy for council, since he owns an Irish bar in town, and you HAVE to, whenever you can, support the Drunk Irish Vote...
