BRIEF version of a LONG Journal
1. Same foods consumed as last Sunday.
2. Tried to call Crux; she not there.
3. Talked to record-shop-man about Beefheart at length. Got Laid (James) and an Ozric double-CD. R-s-m has seen Ozric three times live.
4. Library. DVD of What Have I Done to Deserve This? by Almodovar. Just watched this evening. VERY funny; I'd underrated it (seen it years back). Brilliant.
5. Saw Broken Flowers this afternoon. Like it. Hard to summarize, hard to rate for quality exactly. Kinda doesn't totally satisfy, some scenes not pursued enough, leaves you hanging for more dialogue at times, but better than the shit in every other theater, no doubt. Advice- rent What Have I Done to Deserve This? first, but worth seeing if you're going to a theater.
