What musical instruments do you play, or played in the past? + 7/21 update
I played some recorder (standard kids school instrument) and clarinet in elementary school. I had a bass for a while in junior high/ early high school and took lessons... but after a while stagnated from not having anyone to play with. My friend Eric played guitar but... I dunno, we just weren't playing much together, or the same stuff. I got the bass from this kid Jerry who was into prog and classic rock. Big on Yes and Rush (all the instrument-kids were). I later bought a guitar from this kid down the block from me (who I was friends with and then he got an attitude). I screwed around with that a bit... nothing formal, like lessons, just messing about. I eventually smashed it up, out of a general frustration and depression. I continue to dabble with the idea of getting a guitar; the two things that stop me are 1) space consideration. STUFF takes up space and I'm trying to pare down my possessions all the time, especially since I'm considering moving someday. 2) I am still not one to really practice with any discipline... I can tell. I have doubts in my abilities. On the other hand, the thing that usually makes me think I could play is Jewel... Jewel Kincher, the singer. I figure if she can play guitar, certainly I could.*
Anyway, I see a few folks on here talk about what they play (like Mikael and er) and wondered about everyone else.
I will be off the net from 7/22 to 7/28, so if anyone wants to contact me about anything before then (I have NO idea what or why that would be), contact me.
I've been in a poor mood the last couple days. Not really sure why... anyway, that important bit of info is out into the world wide net. I am continuing to work on CDs for NoControl, pygmy, and CruxPlusOne.
(*I know there are worse musicians; she's just the one that always comes to mind, for some reason.)

Well I played trumpet from middle school to high school. In college I really didn't touch it and still don't. I still have it and from time to time play it, just to remember when I was good at something.
