not-so-new question-type Journal with new stuff-

1. What is something(s) you are very much into that people wouldn't think you were into at all?

2. What is something(s) you are not at all into that people might assume
(from looking at you, browsing your SG Profile, or a short amount of time spent in person with you) that you are really, really into?

I had a pretty good Sunday hanging out with my friend Eric. I was all TV'ed out after watching all of Sealab 2021 season one yesterday and today, so it was nice to get out.

I'm a late-comer to all this Adult Swim stuff. I don't think Cartoon Network was even on my previous apartment's cable.... anyway, I love 2021 now. And the first draft "pilot" they made, that they seemed so embarassed of, is one of the best, if not the best, episodes. It's funny cuz in that ep, Captain Murphy is voiced by one of the writers; he normally sounds like Lee Marvin (this actor, Harry Goz, passed away in 2003) but in the pilot Murphy sounds like a gay Jewish "nebbish"... a real contrast, pretty frickin hilarious too. Too bad they had to cut out the "Korean porn" segments (hah). It's too bad they censor the swearing and cartoon nudity (has any child been driven to a life of poverty, chronic masturbation, or murrrder by cartoon tits??) even on the DVDs, but they have some fun with that by "providing" the "actual" censored swearing dialogue of the FCC attack-ship officers.
On a sliding scale of Silly, there's 2021, then ATHF is sillier (fairly non-explanatory exposition), then Tom Goes to the Mayor (just makes little sense at all), so I can see why the shows seem to get gradually less popular with folks (that I've talked to so far) on that scale, but I love 'em. Bring on the Silly.

My friend Eric is really my only local-non-SG friend, and I sometimes don't like hanging with him cuz he gets really uptight about his break-ups and lack of relationships. He then gets reeeeally depressing to be around (it's not like I need to hear that stuff; I don't have any romantic success either, so wtf). He makes statements like this: "Women only want 'bad boys' that treat them badly, and then they go out with 'nice guys' and treat them badly." Gross simplifications, one might say. I will give him this though- he has gone out with many astoundingly baaad dates and women. He seems to always go out with women who are emotionally unavailable and/or materialistic (maybe it's some problem in his date-choosing processes?) so it's no wonder he harbors these feelings. I try to tell him he's just gone out with the bad ones.
Anyway, this most recent break-up of his, he's actually handling well. See, this girl told him she didn't think she wanted a relationship, so he was prepared... they probably wouldn't have dated at all except this mutual friend of theirs (older, religious-kinda guy) thought they would be a "good couple," and of course that man either didn't pay attention to what this young lady said or foolishly ignored it.

well tongue on the guy that doesn't listen. well i feel for you friend eric....but i just have to be supportive and sounds like you are doing a good job of it.

okay to answer your questions.....hmmm i love the show Charmed. crazy i know but it is my weakness.

ok this sounds crazy as well, but not as into sex as people would think. i LOVE foreplay and teasing but sex hasn't been great for me so, i can do without it.
