I guess relevantswitch found my last Journal notable, but it seems everyone else's reaction was:
I miss miss_lady. Missmissmiss.
I re-watched The Royal Tenenbaums last night, since it was in one of the libraries and I was checking to see it a particular SGs assessment of "I hated it" was warranted. I didn't HATE it, but it isn't as good as Rushmore or The Life Aquatic.... I mean, the script is sparse, Luke and Gwyneth's characters are very emotionally limited/ stunted (which isn't necessarily awful, but it's limiting in the movie as it exists), Gene's character is bit too distant to truly warm up to (he's also a "son of a bitch," but I understand that that's the point, and nonetheless you can have a lovable SOB, like Master Shake), and there's just not much to the movie besides quirky-Wes-1970s-isms. It's been ages since I saw Bottlerocket. I fairly liked that one, although I found the first parts of the movie more interesting, with the focus on Owen Wilson's character. The love story that eventually takes over the movie was pretty boring to me.
I've had a nice, uneventful few days. Not much to say about that. Here are more funn pics:
edit ps- I am gonna be outta town tomorrra and Thurs.! Big biz trip to OMAHA!! Leave me nice thingies using buttons below and your keyboards...
