Uhhh, tired lately. Probably just need lil more sleep. Am I tired now? Well, I had 8 hours sleep and... yeah, kinda.
I am going to Texas on Friday!! Yeah, I will be in Austin nozin' around with tattoosandwhores! This will hopefully bring a pick-up to my flat December (maybe too many foreign movies with depressing endings). Does anyone know how long it takes to get on flights nowadays? Cuz I booked a morning flight and realized I probably have to get there like three hours ahead of time, but I was hoping to leave a bit later than that, like two, but then I dunno how much time I need.
I need to Xmas shop today. I've bought no presents yet, and my parents leave town on Thursday, so it'd be a good idea to take care of that since I probably won't see them again this year after today.
also, it's very important that you all know that

PM ps- Had Xmas with the parents... yeah, we're all like going outta town this week, they're staying out in Colorado for a while, so we had Xmas. I asked them if they wanted me to wrap the stuff (I bought it before I drove over). They said no, so I just gave it. It's very convenient to have practical parents, but I sadly had bought wrapping paper too. I got some nice stuff; finally got the Joe Bussard CD, and DVDs of The Kids Are Alright and Control Room.
Someone left a cassette of London Calling in the library used items sale. Dunno if I mentioned, but that's also where I picked up my video of Local Hero (and Velvet Goldmine, My Beautiful Laundrette and [haven't watched yet] Nashville). I gave the album short shrift when I was younger, probably because it's not a punk album (even though I already knew they played disco and reggae at that time). It's equal parts rock, ska, reggae, disco, funk, Motown, and rockabilly. That's precisely why it IS one of the punkest albums ever, I'm now realizing.
I've felt down all weekend; I think it's cuz I haven't been doing anything. Work, apartment, work, apartment, work, apartment. I'll be glad to take this trip Friday...

Man, I do love dark, depressing stories. But there was a while where I was watching nothing but films like "Love Liza", "Midnight Cowboy", "Last Picture Show", and "Talk To Her", etc, and I started to realize that my whole general outlook on things had changged. I had become suddenly a lot more cynical than my normal, idealistic self. I had to switch to Adam Sandelr movies, just to keep my sanity.
So - who's that sharp-looking man in your profile pic?
