I got a look at how my multi-generation video dubs for coldenginelogic, BrookeLynne, and JuneCleavage when I got up this morning, after leaving WhiskeyFightPit's copy in to tape last night.
To paraphrase Sandra Bernhard, "It ain't.... too.... damn... good." So I guess I'll have to find time to individually make tapes for folks.
This won't be hard, as far as the main features are concerned. There are 3 main movies I wanted to tape for folks: The Holy Mountain; I'm Not Fascinating (starring the Icky Boyfriends), and Resident Alien, the documentary on Quentin Crisp. These would be garnished with music videos and junk I've had lying around on tape for the past 18-20 years.... but mostly music video.
Now, I'm Not Fascinating has terrible, terrible sound and video, so I don't care about that dub being bad, and Resident Alien is a docu, so picture/ sound aren't paramount (the message is the message, not the medium. I should point out that I saw Bowling for Columbine in a terrible little theater near my place that has bad creaky chairs, abysmal sound, and most of the screens show porno. Seriously. It is a suburban theater that shows a couple screens of porn and a couple of art films, and even Bollywood ones sometimes. I think The Fog of War is playing there now.), but I'll be darned if I'm gonna send anyone a shitty-looking dub of my Favorite Visual Film of All Time, The freakin' Holy Mountain. No way.
Speaking of Sandra Bernhard, I had a dream where I was hanging out with her and some people... I think it was a bar, and I believe I was drunk because I was lavishly praising Sandra to these people right in front of her, the kind of thing you do when kinda drunk. I dunno if I've ever "been drunk" in a dream before.
I did a thing on what type of dreams I'd like to have for a Live Journal questionnaire a couple days ago; I would like to have more dreams with Sandra in them, that's for sure.

you know, that could be the case. i'm definitely more attracted to guys who are more sensitive and free expressing these days. that doesn't mean they have to be sissies or anything, it just means that i like it when they can be affectionate w.out worrying about crossing a line. *shrug* i have no idea. it just seems that every time i get a crush on a guy, he turns out to be gay. lol
