This is my little R.I.P. for Bronson. I hope not just out of laziness (I haven't done anything yet today except clean my bathroom, vaccuum, and copy a CD; I expect you don't need explicit details about all that) but just to marvel at the quote I read on Yahoo News, that Charles got into acting "to make money." I mean what are the odds that a sorta rough- bad-guy-looking, not-pretty, stiff-acting guy from a Lithuanian coalmining family could find work in perennial favorites like The Magnificent Seven and The Dirty Dozen, then find that he isn't wanted in the States so he gets invited overseas by Alain Delon to make a movie and he becomes the toast of European cinema, then comes back and does even more successful US movies?

update-- I did a short meadows walk (the "meadow" is overgrown with brush/trees over 5 feet) and had not-worth-the-price Thai for lunch. I wanted to try Japanese food but the place was closed...
I needed blank CDs so went to the Best Buy with the ridiculously-poor-planned inadequate parking lot. Bought two CDs: new Warhols, and new Neil Young. I was so surprised to see a new NY Crazy Horse album that I bought it almost out of gratitude. It looks like a weird concept album, with small town stories by some fictitious person. Stories about stories...
I almost bought two reissue Neil CDs, On The Beach and re/ac/tor... then thought ,"I can find them cheaper on Half.com!"... then realized later that the postage charges will put them right back up in Best Buy's price range (they were only $12). You can think too hard about saving money, sometimes...
Still have almost all Neil's vinyl LPs, so I can burn those 2 'n sell 'em off quite readily. LP artwork will always trump CD artwork, but then, duuhhh, it's 4 times as big.
Wanted to pick up Zevon's farewell album but they were all out...
