Hmm, haven't really updated much because no real THEME to go on. I'm moving soon though, about 3000 miles away... give or take. I have a couple places to stay temporarily looked up, so I'll see if that works out. If it does, I will see some of you I saw in December a lot more, see some of you for the first time, be nearer to seeing some of you WEST COAST people, and... missing the east people, or course. I think I already wrote about this before, but it still doesn't get easier. I certainly don't plan on NEVER coming back here or any crap like that; I imagine I'll be visiting back this year for something or other.
Just trying to pad things out- I rented Dog Park and Kikujiro. The former is a Bruce "Kid in the Hall" McCulloch movie (wrote and directed) which the City Paper had panned, but then I loved Wet Hot American Summer and they panned that too, so I thought maybe it was really good too. Well, it's not... but it's okay. It's a bit off-balance in mood/ seriousness, but not so terribly bad. The main folks are Luke Wilson and Natasha Hentsridge, and they do well. Bruce, Janeane Garofalo, and Kathleen Robertson are okay. Janeane maybe not given much comedy material. Harlan Williams gets to play a real odd guy. 'S okay movie. Some dog cuteness, but less dog park action than I expected. Luke Wilson gets ninja-fucked. Natasha's kid's-book-show seemed a bit unrealistic to me. I dunno, it just didn't seem credible at all. Half a thumb up for Dog Park. A hangnail up. Kikujiro I thought was slow and really clunky. I stopped watching it. Between this one and Violent Cop, I have to say- I don't get the cult of Takeshi Kitano. I can't see renting a 3rd movie to "make sure." Also, I watched 1/2 an hour of Garden State and eeesh, this is the movie everyone likes?? Really don't get it, babies.
I guess I should feel blessssed at having such a boring week. Nothing much else to say, other than talked to ex-SGer Mikael on the phone some. He's doing good.
OH, and NoControl fixed all my shitty pop-up viruses way back on Saturday, and I was glad to see him again.
That's -really- it.

ps- Dunno if it'll be an issue, but my folks are changing phoneline companies, so I might run into log-in problems.

I've got lots of books/music and DVDs coming out my freaking ears, so there's no shortage of things to do. But it's all those damned compelling people to play with out there that keeps drawing me out the door.
