I went to the Arlington Arts Center again a week ago, and took some pics. I really need to get a digi-camdamnera. Aside from the various features, the disposable one I used seems to have been... pointed a bit crooked, and it fish-eyed bows the pics so every painting has concave frames... and uhh they do NOT. They have straight frames... so I have to edit out the frames cuz it looks quite dumb. Anyway:

The upstairs area has paintings by Edith Heins. Didn't like many, but some had an appealing Van Gogh quality. Cutesy, but appealing.

"Young Art Critic"

"Pink Dog" - This one was very Van Goghy and the doggie reminds me of JamieLee's dog (except it's pink).

This... is... "Sower," by RL Croft. I suppose it is a submarine car to sow seeds in a field.

It looks kinda narrow for comfort-

but it has a porthole.

This is "Winter Burn" by Freya Grand. It reminds me of some of pygmy's work. Eh?

This next one is a machine! A crank machine! Do the parts work? I don't think the place wants me trying. It's "Screaming Cherub" by Adam Bradley. It came out a little less cherub-looking in the photo; it's pretty skull-looking.

Here's the back.

I know a few folks liked the last Richard Dana charcoal I put in here. This one was also charcoaled onto a giant scroll, like "The Narrator" was; I just cut off the top and bottom due to the nasty bow-ing effect of the camera lens. This one is called "Option Trader." The laptop on the table has some computer progress graphs on it. Opened to a few interpretations...

This one is in the style of... an artist whose name I can't recall. Jennifer Beinhacker painted this one in glossy acrylic (so I got the unfortunate glare) with a sorta string cage over it. It's called "Road to Shiva," and someone more erudite could explain the symbols.

Here's a detail of the tiger-man and the tiger, which I guess was pasted in. I like the tiger eyes; this pic is a lil blurry.

Another angle

This one, I wanted to go back and get a second shot at the end, but I was out of shots. It's called "Succubi, scene III" by Julie Schneider. Wish the other scenes had been there, but this was the only Schneider painting in, sorry.

Will put up some more stuff later. Hope it was BLOW yr mind.

3/4 important update- I found out the identity of Freya's paiting for sure and corrected da text up above. Also, I am chewing dried cranberries from Sun Maid while drinking a big glass of cranberry and Polish vodka, which I bought to remind me of the bachelor and to sustain my adherence to Donny G's two-drinks-a-night-every-night. Mmmm. It's like I am at Martha's Vineyard, and boozing it up.

It's always seemed like a good idea to visit Martha's Vineyard but the opportunity has never presented itself. Also it seems rather too posh for my comfort. I like the suit holding the baby. But that's probably because I am obsessed with babies. *sigh*

Thanks for the concern and well-wishes. smile Yeah, the doctor was a douche. I'm still hurting, but hoping I'll look pitiful enough to get sent home today...
