I managed to do a lil again...
1) I took pics of the Arlington Arts Center exhibits. I also snapped a pic on the way that I've been meaning to do for a while- a pic of the Ragtime Restaurant window (right by the Arlington Courthouse) for Geraldine.
An added bonus was- the basement area had a bunch of artwork by students... like just regular-elementary-school students. I took a few pics of that... and I knew I'd run out of film before I got everything I wanted down there, and I did. There was a very cute one about a kid meeting the monster under their bed, only it was just sad cuz it was "ugly," so the kid made it feel better. I dunno if I should go back and take more photos! I know the Center is closed all next week.
I went back into the earthquake room. The MORI Project. Well, it had more noise-fluctuation this time; it must not have been working before. The noises sounded like.... rumbling, waves crashing, a strange mix of those low and high-frequency rumblings and splashes.
2) I watched the most smug, self-satisfied, cynical-movie-in-the-guise-of-a-free-spirit-movie movie tonight, The Rage in Placid Lake. The movie seemed to want to have its cake and eat it too, to mock "conventional society" and "leftist hippie parents" and "scientific weirdos" and so on, and... it just seemed really satisfied with itself. It's one of those movies where... okay, where, for instance, the main hero guy lovvvvves the main girl, right? Like, she has a problem that she can't see they should be together, right? So, then he goes and BANGS the Hot Coworker in the stationery closet and gets his dick sucked in a bar by The Hot Coworker* but then, in the end, the main girl realizes she loves him.... yeah, it's just little details like that which make the "True Love" angle a taaaad cynical, for my taste.
...mind you, it's also a fairly funny movie, some good acting... but anyway... it stars Ben Lee (the singer), and Miranda Richardson plays his mom, if anyone's interested.
3) I think YOU REALLY SHOULD download this short film, as it is like my mind.
* I'm not merely speculating; this stuff 100% happens... in an R-rated way, of course.

evening edit- RockZombie is putting together this artist's website, and I think it's worth a look.
