I'd been feeling very tense lately, about possibly moving in general and quitting my job in particular. I was feeling these uncertainty jitters. This evening, when I got home from work, I realized- this is the last Monday I'll ever work there, and I felt a jolt of instant calm. It's sorta like a jolt of lightning, but the exact opposite. Anti-panic. I know that I've made the right choice.

Two clarifications from before:

1) I didn't mean to look like I was fishing for "don't leave" Comments from anyone! You guys are so great, and I really am feeling like staying now... but I certainly knew already some folks would miss me, even as insecure as I am. When j0ssy wrote "I'll be really sad if you go," a few weeks back, that was really the beginning of this feeling to not leave... and yeah, I can see her on LJ and MyClunkyWebsiteSpace, but then there's all the things I can't see on those sites: the Groups and Journals... I wouldn't say I have a "community" here, as that's really too pompous. I have FRIENDS here.

2) When I said I didn't think artists (of any media) were "geniuses," I didn't mean to imply at all that they weren't smart, or less valuable than "geniuses," or anything like that. I figured my < Profile over there would make that plain... but you never know how a statement will come across. Artists might be smart, regular, dumb, or idiot-savant. They might be great people, average, or total scumbags. Anyway, I think I've made my point. I think art is as important as genius scientific discovery, too.
