FUCK!!
My cat is missing.
Last time I saw her she was laying in the sun on the porch earlier this afternoon. I didn't notice she was gone until she didn't come to eat once it got dark. She's no where in the house, not dead in the street and not coming when I'm calling. I'm pretty sure someone picked her up and took her home, there's a lot of kids on the block who might have.
I ran down just a few minutes ago and put flyers on the closest mail box (we have those community mail boxes) in case someone sees it on the way to school/work and knows where she is. I'll call the vet first thing to see if anyone bought her in as a stray to get checked out before they keep her and if not, leave a description in case someone brings her in later. The local shelter opens at 11am and I'll be calling them then. I'm really hoping she's there.
She sleeps on my chest at night. She's also technically Mike's cat. I'm extremely upset, and mostly at myself. I have been meaning to get her mircochipped for a while. And she doesn't have a collar. I guess this is a sign I should have done it sooner. If she comes home, I'm calling the vet for the soonest appointment I can get. Then get both cats break away collars and tags.
I've already had a rough day and I'm sick and now my Baby is gone.
