Sometimes in life you just get caught up in everything and forget to take a little time out just for yourself.

My life has been hectic, three kids and a deployed husband, plus my responsibilities on the executive board of the local moms club. I stay busy because it's easier than dealing with loneliness. I've been feeling burnt out, emotionally on edge but I can't just stop because I'm sure to crack.

But this afternoon I took 3 hours to myself. I dropped the boys off with a friend and drove into Austin. Windows down, music up. There was a hooping jam session at this awesome little cafe on 6th st, appropriately called Hot Mamas. I spent two hours talking, laughing, hooping with a great bunch of new friends. It was fantastic.

I look forward to next week.
