I have determined that December is the hardest time of the year being a Pagan parent. Damn you society, filling my kids with ideas about a mass marketed and over commercialized holiday that we only celebrate because our extended family does and even then hardly ever do you see the REAL reason of having CHRISTmas. Heck even being non Christian I get a little miffed about their trampled holiday.
This is the first year that Hunter has really noticed all the hype and of course has been talking to Tristin about it. I wish I could have sheltered them for it for longer but I knew it couldn't last forever. I do hope that my talks with them about my faith has taken root and will soon over grow enough that outside influences will not matter as much. I'm just so tired of them spouting about Christmas and what they want left and right. Gah!
But I do have the older boys all jazzed up about reenacting the fight between the Oak King and the Holly King. Woot. That should be hilarious to watch.
