My Godzilla. Found this itty bitty gecko in my kitchen yesterday. I think he is what my cat was freaking out about a couple days ago. I thought it was just a bug. It doesn't seem to be any damage besides that he dropped his tail. It will grow back.
I have him in a temporary house (ie. ice cream bucket) until I can get to my mom's house and get my tank.
I did a little searching and I think he's a Texas Banded Gecko. Which would make sense since I'm not that far from Texas.
It's nice having a repitle in the house again. It's been a while since I've owned a lizard or a snake. I have always wanted a gecko too, only this way I don't have to pay for it.

Just wanted to share my cute new pet.

So cute! He's actually a Mediterranian gecko. We have a ton of them here. You'll have to get fruit flies or pinhead crickets for him too eat because they eat really tiny live prey, mealworms are too hard for them to kill. You may want to mist him every couple days or give him a baby jar lid with water in it because they like fairly humid climates. He's adorable, good luck!
