As I browsed through the magazines at Barnes & Noble after work today, I was thinking again about how in the "good ol' days" that when a new album came out by a notable "recording artist" the racks would be covered with magazines with that artist on the cover or at least with an album review.
None of that was the case today when I was looking for the new PJ Harvey cd. Not really surprising. They don't have many British magazines these days and they'd have been the most likely to notice.
Totally shocked that the cd department didn't have and apparently haven't had and apparently won't have a copy of the cd. Barnes & Noble is my only source for books, magazines, cd's and dvd's in my usual orbit. Actually slightly out of my usual orbit.
So I ended up downloading from iTunes, which I really want to stop using. But since I downloaded "Written On The Forehead" earlier as a single (I downloaded it as the only available song from the cd, not using the single link), I'll have to make a playlist of the album if I want to listen to it in order.
