After watching both recently, I would have to say that The Departed is much better than Babel. As a matter of fact, I watched 21 Grams by the director of Babel and it beats Babel as well.
Speaking of 21 Grams, Naomi Watts,where have you been all of my life?

Good boobs do not equal good actress, as much as we'd like them to. Not that I think Ms. Watts is a bad actress, but...damn those are good boobs.
