Do you ever get harassed about your religion? I think people actually think not having a set religion is worse than having one. I take my beliefs from three religions. Taoism, Satanism, and Atheism. I take what I like from each and decide for myself what I want to believe. Now when most people hear the word Satanism they automatically think Oh my sweet holly Jesus! He worships Satan!! WRONG! I dont worship Satan! I dont worship God or Jesus either for that matter. I just like some of the teachings of the Satanist. As do I some of the teachings of the Taoist and Atheist. Some people also say You cant practice Satanism and Atheism! I dont practice" either! I just like some of the teachings! Is this so wrong? Why do I have to worship or practice any one religion? Why do I have to fallow any one mans rules? But every time I try to explain this to people they just get upset and blow up at me because they cant think of a reasonable answer. So my question is this. Why do we have to have one set religion to abide by? Why can we not take the goods from all of them and just be left to believe what we want?

I do the very same thing. There are certain aspects of several religions I draw from for my own personal advancement. One quality of Satanist teachings I like is their focus on the individual and their spin on introversion as a positive thing. Granted that's the extent of my knowledge of Satanism.
