It was a busy day at the bookstore, and I picked up a copy of Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code. Not a profound book, but who cares? It's a fun read, and that counts for something. I love to read kids books like Narnia, the Series of Unfortunate Events and old Artemis. They're a nice change of pace.

I have today off! Unfortunately, I have to run around getting parts for my ailing auto.

I love having days off, but I really do like my job selling books. It's fun to help people find the right book with an answer to some problem they have. I really enjoy helping kids hunt down sources for some research project they are doing. I guess that's...

Sounds like you have (and still are) living a full and varied life. I hope that I will remain as involved in making a difference to peoples experiances with life as I move through the years.

I've had many varied jobs in my *ahem* 10 or so years of work history. Tax Office Customer Service in accounts, Stevedore (oh what fun) eeek , Art Gallery security & customer liason, Bar Maid, Bar manager...I like to keep things interesting although sometimes it is a little unsettling not having an actual direction. Take care smile

Last Thursday went to see my friend Ron's band, Gunship Radio, play at a local bar. Drank a Guinness and watched peoples lips move.

Wretched cars are acting up again, and have to be kept running with bailing wire and booger glue. Life is lovely!

After mowing the lawn, I chilled most of the day. Read the manga Trigun and listened to the local NPR classical music station.

Will my nutty 23 yr old be at the store tomorrow? Dunno! I never expected her to flip out over me, or even consider me as more than a friend. But she is playing this weird high school game with me--exaggeratedly pretends...
