I got a new digital camera. It has more goodies on it than I'll probably ever use. It's a nice little Olympus--6 megapixels with a 10x optical zoom. Not exactly state of the art, but it should last a couple of weeks. I should be able to get some nice snapshots.

Protection actually. I was a PI once upon a time, and have found that I have never been able to live without the need for one. I'm always ass deep in some sort of stuff, and frankly, Antarctica was the first place I never had a gun that I wore constantly. I realized with some disconcerting the other night, that I have gotten careless in my time down there, and that I really need to remedy that fact. The past will bite when you least expect it.
