Well, Christmas shopping is done as far as I can tell. But there's always somebody I miss.

My brother and I went out two nights ago and bought for our brother and sister and their families. We all get together Christmas morning to open presents, have a big feast, watch the crummy football games and nap. It's a tradition.

I watched Ralphie get his BB gun again for the umpteenth time, and enjoyed the movie as always. Of course, it reminds me of my kidhood and first BB gun. Got mine at nine too. The house, abandoned jalopies, walk down the perilous alley, double dares, bullies, kid tongues stuck on frozen pipes--it all happened in real life. "You'll shoot your eye out, kid!" Love it!

I still have the BB gun I got all those years ago and the gun case my mother made to keep it in. My kids used that old gun until it didn't shoot anymore. Now it's just a piece of useless junk, but somehow I just can't throw it away.

I feel subdued. Big changes in the old life. Who knows what the future will bring?
